| Hi, I'm a science student who sometimes, occasionally, does some art. I am currently completing my master's degree in environmental science and policy. Topics of interest to me are climate change, ecosystem services, and invasive species (especially in Australia and eucalypts abroad). My favorite organisms (yes, I am a geek) are cats, giraffes, echidnas, koalas, leafy sea dragons, weedy sea dragons, all sea turtles, soft corals, penguins, redwoods, eucalypts (when they keep themselves in Australia), Reinhardtia gracilis, most mangroves, kaori pine, all octopuses (except blue-ringed which scare the shit out of me), mantas, and probably anything else you show me. My least favorite organisms are cane toads, bullfrogs, Astrocaryum mexicanum, and Trichodesmium. In my free time I enjoy drawing & painting, baking, hugging cute animals, scuba diving, and communing with sea turtles. I am crazy squeamish and terrified of botflies and Lady Gaga's sunglasses at the beginning of Bad Romance. |
